Meet Dr. Matthew Beaty

Board-certified orthopedic and sports physical therapist dedicated to helping athletes and active adults recover, move better, and stay active for life.

The “why” behind Pinnacle

Pinnacle Sports Rehabilitation & Performance was founded on the belief that movement is more than exercise—it’s part of who we are. Whether it’s running, golfing, hiking, or competing, the activities we love help define our lives. When injury takes that away, Pinnacle helps you reclaim it and return stronger than before.

Before I was Dr. Beaty, I was a Pitcher

I’m Dr. Matthew Beaty, a board-certified sports and orthopedic physical therapist—but before any of that, I was a pitcher. I was scouted to compete at the Division I level, but persistent shoulder injuries ultimately changed that path.

That experience sparked a lifelong passion to understand the body, movement, and what it truly takes to keep people doing the activities they love.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, completed my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, and later trained in Kaiser Permanente’s renowned Orthopedic Residency Program. Along the way, I became a board-certified orthopedic and sports clinical specialist and earned my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification.

For more than 15 years, I’ve helped athletes and active adults recover from injury, restore healthy movement, and return to the activities that matter most. My approach goes beyond treating symptoms. By identifying the root cause of pain and movement dysfunction, I help patients recover with confidence while building the resilience to stay active for years to come.

Pinnacle was created to provide the kind of care I’d want for myself: personalized, one-on-one physical therapy that treats the whole person—not just the injury.

“We brought our son in just to be safe — he wasn’t injured but had started complaining of soreness after games. The assessment Matt did was incredibly thorough. He explained things in a way we could all understand, and caught issues we never would’ve noticed. Now we have a clear plan, and our son is moving better and feeling confident again. I only wish we’d done this sooner.”

— Pamela, Parent of a 14-year-old baseball pitcher
